REVIEW: COP'S DAUGHTER-LAUREN
I had the pleasure of reading book 2 of the Cop's Daughter Series:LAUREN, written by Laura Marie Henion. As a female police detective myself, I found the book completely believable and relevant. The details of a female detective's personal and professional life were very well represented. The storyline of the book was riveting and intense...a real "must read!" Don't pick up this book unless you have an entire day to devote to it, because you won't put it down!

I have read many crime dramas and romantic novels. This novel combined both and was very well done. I have never read this author before, but look forward to reading more of her novels. It is an easy read, hard to put down. This author has good character and plot development. I look forward to reading future novels and seeing her style deepen and develop even more. Highly recommended by someone who's read the likes of James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell and many others.
I 'm an avid reader, I've read a lot of books , but I must say, that this book I really enjoyed. Especially to later learn that the author was not even a cop.
The language, the details and the scenes could only possibly come from someone in the same line of work. I highly recommend it, I had my own husband, an avid reader himself, reading it, he also enjoyed it. Stating he liked the plot , and even mentioned that the book was not dragging at all, he actually read it in one sitting.
We wish her all the luck, can't wait to go to a book signing...........

Cop’s Daughter: The Series Lauren by Laura Henion was an enjoyable action-packed suspense novel with a very believable heroin. Ms. Henion’s portrayal of her main character Lauren as a strong yet feminine female detective was so real that I was surprised the author was not a detective. The development of Lauren was obviously a result of detailed research on her part. As a law enforcement officer for 24 years, and investigator of homicides, I appreciated her investigative accuracy. Although accurate, the book is fun to read. The plot was exciting and the secondary characters were very appealing. The villain in this story was complex and terrifying. Ms. Henion provides thrilling action interspersed with romance making it an exciting book. It was an easy read and there were some nice surprises in the plot. I couldn’t wait to finish it. I highly recommend this book and you should buy it if you want to be thoroughly entertained. Ms. Henion is no doubt a brilliant writer.

I loved reading Cop's Daughter: Grace Book by Laura Marie Henion. The book captured me right from the start and it held my attention the entire time. I am very excited about Laura's books and cannot wait to read another one. I do believe that Laura's books will become one of my favorite readings. Thank you very much for the opportunity to review this book. I will definitely pass this book on to others so that they too can experience the action of this cop's daughter series.

"Ms. Henion truly honors her family's law enforcement history with this extraordinary first novel! She has interjected some of the most interesting aspects of crime fighting into her story. She was apparently paying a lot of attention to her own family member's careers in police work. I would like to give this book to all the daughter's of law enforcement officers that I know. Ms. Henion weaves a suspenseful novel with threads of romance, family honor, and the special love and bond a daughter has for a father in law enforcement. I would recommend this book to all the father's too!! I truly enjoyed reading this first novel, and I can't wait for more to follow."

Cop's Daughter: Lauren is another winner by Laura Marie Henion. The story is original and the suspenseful with a number of twists, turns and surprises. The heroine comes alive to the reader as she tracks the serial killer through a combination of strong police work and intuition with the help of her surbanan "love interest" counterpart. The book is thoroughly enjoyable and I highly recommend it.

In a world of dime a dozen cop books, Laura Henion's Cop's daughter is a fantastic diversion from the otherwise mundane cop drama's out there. Henion's storytelling will keep you up later than you'd thought, hoping to find out what happens next! If you're looking for a page turner, this it. I would highly recommended Cop's Daughter for a real inside look at the life of a law enforcement family & the daughter who will stop at nothing to get to the truth. Kudos to Henion. I started reading the book at 3:20 yesterday afternoon while waiting in the doctors office. I couldn't seem to put it down at all last night. I didn't get anything accomplished because I was so excited to figure out who did it? I wanted to know that Victoria was going to be okay. This book is really good. I finally finished it at 11:00 pm. You are really talented and I can't wait for the next one! : )

is a fast paced read that moves quickly from chapter to chapter, allowing you to read the book in short order. Henion did an excellent job developing Grace’s character. She is a complex woman with a “tough as nails” exterior, and a top notch reputation with both the Las Vegas Police Department and the New York City Police Department, working vice and homicide cases. Grace can usually deal with just about anything that comes her way until one of her cases hits a little too close to home. When Grace starts working on her latest case with Lt. Max Mathews in which “The Master” is abducting and killing young women, Henion reveals Grace’s vulnerabilities and feminine side. The undeniable attraction between Max and Grace reveals yet another aspect of Grace’s personality. Grace’s good instincts and persistence lead her right into the arms of “The Master”, which also forces her to face her own demons from the past.
I would recommend “/Cops Daughter: Grace/” to mystery lovers and fans of police departments, and interesting female characters.
